Moisture Analyser for Minerals

The MoistScan® MA-500 has proven to be very compatible with applications within the Metalliferous Industries. 

Callidan Instruments is located in the heart of Australia’s Bauxite, Gold, Zinc, Lead, Nickel mines and refineries, and hence it made good sense that the analyser would be designed to suit many applications so close to home.  

Typically the MoistScan® MA-500 obtains an instrument precision of 0.3% for most of these product types. The main applications for the MA-500 include,

de-watering circuits e.g belt filters, drum filters, de-watering screens etc
product applications for process feedback
ROM applications for metallurgical accounting
Loading Ports and train loadouts for commercial and contractual purposes.
   
Clients involved with the MoistScan® MA-500 currently include, MIM Ltd, BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, and SGS.
  
A MoistScan® MA-500HD was recently installed in BHP Billiton’s Cannington Mine for the control of moisture for it’s paste plant. This application has a very large moisture range ( 10% - 30% ), and also has high levels of lead and zinc.
